Oi, moroz-moroz

Sergey Shnurov, Yuri Shevchuk, Max Pokrovsky, Evgeny Fedorov and Zhenya Lyubich recorded a video in support of homeless people

Oi, moroz-moroz

Rock musicians recorded the video "Oh, Frost, Frost" in support of Nochlezhka charitable organization. Lead singer of "Nogu svelo!" Max Pokrovsky, Zorge frontman Yevgeny Fedorov, singer Zhenya Lyubich and the founder of “Leningrad” group Sergei Shnurov each sang a verse of a Russian folk song. In the end of the video Yuri Shevchuk encourages viewers to think about the fate of people in trouble. “Some don’t have a home at all, and no one waits for them. It’s hard and unjust for a man to live on the street. So hard that one may die. Don't remain indifferent to this, guys”, asks the rock musician. The video plot develops through the animation that creates a winter world of people who have a home, and those who are forced to live on the street.

“Winter is the most difficult time for homeless people who have nowhere to go, so our organization now especially needs financial support from citizens. We encourage viewers of the video to send an SMS to support Nochlezhka’s Heating Points work and a rehabilitation shelter for those in need.”, says Grigory Sverdlin, Nochlezhka charitable organization manager.

According to official data, 947 deaths of homeless were recorded in 2018 in St. Petersburg, about half of which during winter. Last winter 1,299 people were rescued in two heating points of Nochlezhka; in 2018 145 people underwent rehabilitation in a shelter at 112 B Borovaya street. During the rehabilitation each client received full support from social work specialists, lawyers and psychologists.

Nochlezhka heartily thanks the musicians who took part in the recording of the video "Oh, Frost, Frost", and all the volunteers who are working on the creation of the charity video. Special thanks to the animation artist Boris Kazakov and the video crew that consists of Alexandra Leibovich, Alexander Botkov and Dmitry Assinovsky.
