Why we do it

Surviving a Moscow night is only possible when one is warm and safe. People shouldn’t freeze to death in the streets and become disabled because of the frostbites. If a person has nowhere to go, they can stay for a night at the Nochlezhka’s heating point, even having no papers and documents.

How it works

The heating point is a big heated tent that fits 50 people. Here, every visitor can stay for a night, being warm and getting a warm dinner. People find out about the Rehabilitation shelter, Consulting service, and an opportunity to escape the streets with the help of professionals from the attendants of the heating point. This is the first nonprofit heating point in the capital.

The launching of the Heating point in Moscow is the result of the collaboration of various people and companies: Samolet group provided us with a site, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bought us a tent, Obraz Zhizni charity, MK Fond pomoschi charity, and Andrei Chekana donated substantial sums for the opening.
